Story 

She’d never been one for birthdays – they seemed unnecessary and excessive. A whole lot of fuss about something as trivial as the earth competing yet another orbit around the sun, was how she often described them.

As she’d grown older, birthdays came with a tinge of existential dread – the idea of pitting herself against societal milestones was exhausting. No, she wasn’t married by 20. She was nowhere closer to being a parent than she’d been a decade ago. Her hair was greying and she’d just spotted her first fine lines near her eyes. She wasn’t at the top of her career and she didn’t have an arsenal of achievements to look back on. Truth be told, she even hated the number of candles that her cake (if she had one) would sport.

But this year had been one of new learning. She’d come to accept and love the person she was. She was incomplete but constantly growing. Imperfect, but eager to learn. Her child-like wonder would never be dulled. And her life would always be one of discovery. This year, she would celebrate that.

Description 

Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers by hand on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce. These dresses also feature delicate hand-embroidered details to make each piece truly memorable.
